The Mason family...

Thanks to Zane (and Ange for babysitting) and Lee for their help with the working bee at our Calamvale place which we are trying to sell.  We painted an entire house in one day as well as a couple more days for a garden makeover and general clean.  But wouldn't you know it it was one of the hottest days in years, the mercury reached 43.4!!  As I type this in the middle of the afternoon two days later it's 23.6 degrees that's pretty much 20 degrees cooler.  Oh well all done now.

We're in, the pool house is setup with a couple of dust collector's - oops I mean a home gym and spin bike.  All boxes are emptied and 95% of everything is in the right room and position, it's just the actual sorting of things such as linen cupboards and walk in robes etc.  The pool has been used almost every day - it's great.  I have even sprayed the garden for weeds and managed to fit in a bike ride through the Chermside Hills.  I'll leave it to Kerrie to right the more newsy detailed entry.

The new year has brought a lot of changes for us all with the major one being the purhcase of our new place - which we move into next week and have named 'Tarun Palms'.

Another change has been the kids starting a new school which is just a short walk from our new house, Toby into year 1 and Sophie into year 3, so it was new uniforms, new books and new bags all round. They are both settling in well and love the onsite before and after school care run by the YMCA - it is not unusual for me to have to find the kids when I go to pick them up as they ses me coming and run and hide. Another new start has been with Sophie as she started ice skating lessons and jazz dancing lessons both of which she loves with a passion. The photo below was taken today at her ice skating lesson.

Toby has been signed up with a soccer club for the up coming season, training starts in a few weeks time.
