The Mason family...

We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Twin Waters for a couple of nights this week (thanks Ange and Zane!) which busted the boredom big time! The kids were so excited, especially as they were in charge of packing their own bags and making up the itinerary.  With the car loaded up to the hilt with cricket and swimming gear we hit the motorway singing along with Abba at top volume.

It's tag time ... Rick has just finished his two weeks off and my two are just about to start!!  The kids had a great time over the last couple of weeks .... there were lots of adventures to be had but the highlight for them both was a fishing trip, yep with real fishing rods each and a tinny.  They didn't actually catch anything but that wasn't a problem, the real fun was getting out there and trying.
We all had a lovely day today winding down for the end of the week, with a spot of backyard cricket and some gardening which Sophie in particular seems to enjoy.

Well it’s been a busy season, and it’s hard to believe it is now all over again for another year after all the build up and hype that goes into it.  We had a lovely day here at our place with both the O’Dowd’s and the Knights, the first Christmas ever that all the kids have been together. But the presents have been unwrapped, the champagne quaffed and the ham finally finished and tonight Santa and his reindeer can sleep tucked up safely in the attic, their job done for yet another year. Now all we are left to do is relax and enjoy the rest of the holiday before the flurry of school and work starts again!
