Well it's been a while since I have updated the blog. In fact this is my first blog on the new look website. Hope everyone likes the changes, Rick has worked very hard on it.

It's been all go for Sophie this weekend. After weeks of rehearsals it was finally time for the annual 'Do Dance Academy' concert. We spent a very girly afternoon together getting ready-preparing hair, makeup and costumes (all of which required considerable amounts of patience and concentration!). The concert (called Suessical and based on all the Dr Suess stories from our childhood) was fantastic and all of the kids did a wonderful job onstage entertaining their families. Soph was a star and I must admit she brought a tear to my eye as I watched her perform. It was a very late night by the time it all wound up but how fabulous this morning when I got up after being woken up by the kids and found to my delight it was 8am (compared to the normal 5 or 6am wakeup call I usually get!). It was a very lazy morning spent relaxing in bed with the newspaper in one hand and a cup of tea in the other while the other three of us slothed to perfection in the rest of the bed. Does it get any better than this on a Sunday morning? Me thinks not.
